Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, FCCA, MBA

Honorable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Anambra State

Mrs Nnake is the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning for Anambra State, with over 10 years of experience in providing management consultancy services for individuals and organizations. She started her career as an Accountant and Investment Research Analyst at Meristem Securities Limited and after 5 years, eventually moved to IHS Towers as a Senior Business Analyst in 2017.

In 2018, She joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria as an assistant manager in the Strategy Consulting unit. During her stay with PwC, she led multiple client engagements and projects across multiple sectors, especially in the financial services and agricultural sectors. Based on her achievements with the Strategy unit, she rose to become a Senior Manager in the Strategy Consulting unit and was selected as one of the top-tier talents to be considered for their fast-track talent program.

She has experience in strategy formulation and planning, budgeting, project management, feasibility studies, business planning, business model development, financial analysis, public policy and economic development.

She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lagos Business School, Lagos, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting from Benson Idahosa University, Benin. She is also a member of the prestigious Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Mrs. Stephanie Keri Uzor

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Anambra State

Mrs. Keri-Uzor is the current permanent secretary of MBEP, with over 20 years of experience in Anambra’s public sector. She has served in various capacities across different Ministries in the state and garnered experience in multiple areas of public administration such as human resources management and policy administration.

She has also ceaselessly mentors upcoming leaders in varied occupational groups and cadres across public service. She continues to use her skills and competencies to oversee the various departments, units, and operational arms of the Ministry to achieve, not only organizational goals and programmes but accelerated productivity.

Mr. Arthur O. Iweanya

Director, Planning Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Anambra State

Mr Arthur O. Iweanya is an economist with over 30 years of experience with the Anambra State Civil Service, during which he has held several management posts in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

Some of these MDAs include Anambra State Agricultural Development Program, Office of the Head of Service, Office of the Executive Governor, and presently Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning. In 2020, Arthur served as the overseeing officer of MB&EP upon the retirement of the former Permanent Secretary.

Arthur holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He has attended various national and international workshops/ seminars, including Fiscal Policy and Budget Management Workshop in Lagos (2019) and Public Policy Executive program at Strathmore University Business School Nairobi, Kenya (2019).

Lady Christy Akabua

Head, Budget Office, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Anambra State

Lady Christy Akabua is a Senior Planning Officer in the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning. She is a seasoned banker with over 16 years of experience in Operations Management and Commercial Services.

Prior to joining Anambra’s Civil Service, Christy served as Branch Operations Manager, Regional Operations Manager, and Regional Commercial Head in different banks, including United Bank for Africa PLC,  Mainstream Bank PLC, Skye Bank PLC, and Polaris Bank PLC.

She has an M.Sc in Economics from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Igbariam, B. Sc in Economics from the University of Abuja, and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Banking and Finance from the National Open University of Nigeria. She is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and holder of the Association of Civil Service of Nigeria Certification.

Mrs Josephine Anyaegbunam

State Coordinator, Anambra State Operations Coordinating Unit

Mrs Anyaegbunam Josephine N., is the State Coordinator of Anambra State Operations Coordinating Unit (SOCU), one of the state coordinating offices of National Social Safety Nets Projects (NASSP).

She has over two decades of experience in financial and management services majority of which is in the public sector.

Mrs Josephine has held management positions as Head, Corporations Audit department in the office of the Anambra State Auditor General and Head, Finance and Accounts department of the State Operations Coordinating Unit.

She has also served in various committees in the state such as the Annual Account Audit Committee and the Committee that investigated the differences observed in the payroll summaries of Anambra state Ministries,  Departments and Agencies in 2011.

Mrs Josephine holds a BSC in Accounting and MSC in Accounting both from University of Benin.  She is a Chartered Accountant and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Mrs. Nkem Augustina Obiora

Acting Head, Administration Department

Mrs Obiora served as the Head of Administration Department Ministry of Commerce Industry, and Government Press Awka, and eventually rose to the rank of Acting Director (Admin). Currently, she is the Acting Director (Administration) Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning  supports in coordinating and managing all the administrative services

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communication from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka.
