Budget Department

The department is tasked with the responsibility of preparing, publishing, tracking, and evaluating the performance of the State Budget:

• Develop annual plans and budgets which are in tandem with Long, Medium- and Short-Term plans, objectives, and strategies
• Track, monitor and report quarterly and annual budget performance appraisal
• Collaborate with the State Budget Planning Committee to produce the economic and fiscal update

Planning Department

The Planning Department is the live-wire of the Ministry of Economic Budget and Economic Planning. The department has three (3) operational units. The responsibilities are:

• Initiate Policy proposals on Economic Development Matters to the government.
• Coordinate needs assessment situations that require policy intervention.
• Prepare the State and Local Government Short-, Medium- and Long-Term Development plans.
• Coordinating the various MDAs in designing Medium Term Sector Strategies (MTSS).
• Monitor Implementation of State plans

Development Partnership Coordination Department

• Source new partners.
• Coordinate Development Partners/Donors' activities in the State
• Monitor and Evaluate Donors'/Partners' activities in the State
