Over the years, the ministry has made great strides in fulfilling its mandate, which include ensuring State's macroeconomic stability, making adequate investments for poverty eradication and managing budget performance amongst others.
We have also managed to build strong working relationships with various local and international stakeholders for designing and implementing of macro/microprograms and projects in the areas of creating employment opportunities for Ndi-Anambra and empowering vulnerable persons (women, youths etc.) to participate key governance areas.

We are responsible for planning all economic related activities across the State. This involves developing, implementing, and monitoring of key economic plans and budget for all Ministries across the State.
We support with defining and deploying policies geared towards the socio-economic development of the state in alignment with our administration's mandate.
We support the collection, analysis and dissemination of baseline statistical data and economic intelligence for the State.
We coordinate the activities of Development Partners within the State and manage periodic engagement with stakeholders such as Federal Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
We conduct periodic assessment on the performance of key areas of the State (budget, economy etc.)
We provide the relevant technical assistance required to drive and implement socio-economic projects within the State.
